One of our core values at Grace Community Church is discipleship. We want to help people follow Jesus and we work to foster discipleship locally and globally through missions.
GRACE WORKS & Local Missions
At Grace, we love being able to serve our community with the love of Jesus Christ. Our hope is that we will have the opportunity to reflect his goodness and introduce people to him. The mission of the Grace Works Ministry is to reach out to needy families and individuals with love and compassion in the name of Jesus Christ. We give food to the hungry by providing emergency food boxes from our church food closet and by distributing items to support local soup kitchens and agencies in our area.
In addition, we provide toiletries, cleaning supplies, clothing, baby items, and holiday gifts to make a difference in our community. We have service projects for our schools and for groups in need, as well as serving local food banks and helping at local pro-life ministries. If you are interested in helping with Grace Works, please call the Grace Works Leader, Carol Bruton, at 949-951-2685 or email email@example.com.
INTERNATIONAL MISSIONARY SUPPORT
For global missions we currently support seventeen missionaries and their families who are serving the Lord throughout the world and in our own backyard. We provide “Missionary Passports” (information about our family of missionaries) to the congregation to help us be more involved and support our missionaries in the field through prayer, encouragement, and practical needs. We also feature regular “Missionary Spotlights” in our Sunday morning services for our missionaries when they are in town to strengthen our ties with them and hear what God is doing around the world firsthand. If you would like to be involved in the misions team as they communicate and co-labor with our missionaries, please contact the Missions Team Lead Don King by calling 949-581-4248, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Some of the countries our missionaries are connected with include:
- Papua New Guinea
- United States
We love taking short-term mission trips to partner with our missionaries in the field and to try to reach the nations firsthand. We’ve taken trips to Spain, Costa Rica, South Africa, Camobodia, and Moldova. We’ve been to Moldova two years in a row; how we love the Moldovans!
